Welcome to the Maple Shade Mansion
A Charming Bed and Breakfast in Brockway, Pennsylvania
Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, this stately Victorian Queen-Anne style mansion offers the perfect setting for a romantic getaway, business trip, relaxing reprieve or social event. The home was built in 1889 in the heart of Brockway, a charming town in Western Pennsylvania, as a private residence for lumber baron R.L. Buzard.
In 2014, Brockway natives, Sharon and Peter Varischetti, purchased the then deteriorated home with a mission to return it to a place of grandeur and elegance. After nearly three years of restoration, and with many of the original details still intact, the doors opened to the Maple Shade Mansion Bed and Breakfast.
The magnificent home welcomes guests from around the world to enjoy five elegant guestrooms and suites, all uniquely designed and filled with stained glass windows, original custom millwork, antique furnishings and modern amenities. Each of the rooms are named after prominent townspeople who played a part in the history and growth of “Brockwayville’s” early years
Large verandas offer the ideal spot to relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings while reading a book, savoring a glass of wine, or planning your itinerary. Victorian-inspired gardens surround the Mansion and offer picturesque trellises, arbors, exotic plants and thousands of breathtaking flowers.
Together, Innkeeper Sharon Varischetti, and Manager Karl McCall, take great pride in delighting guests with superior accommodations, delicious breakfasts, special events, and can’t-miss culinary experiences.
We hope you’ll join us!
