Walking Tour of Brockway's Historical Wildwood Cemetery: November 2nd
On Saturday, November 2nd, from 1-3 PM, Brockway historian Rob Keith and cemetery supervisor Ron Feldman will take participants on a walking tour of Wildwood Cemetery, located at the end of Maple Street in Brockway. Established in 1866 on 10 acres of land owned by Dr. and Mrs. Clarke, "in a hollow to the south of Brockwayville along Curry Run," the land was deeded to the Wildwood Cemetery Association for $250. The cemetery is the final resting place of the Brockway and Moorhead families, as well as many local soldiers who served during the Civil War. Over the years, other prominent families from the area have also been laid to rest here. Join Rob Keith and Ron Feldman as they take us on a journey through this historic site. In case of rain, the tour will be rescheduled for Sunday, November 3rd, from 2-4 PM.
